Reading Program - ESL ReadingSmart reading program is multi-genre and multicultural.
It is written on four levels of difficulty: Beginner (ESL Level 1), Intermediate
(ESL Level 2), Early Advanced (ESL Level 3), and Advanced (ESL Level 4).

The Newcomers’ Program's thematic design introduces beginning English language
learners to basic vocabulary and language structures intended to facilitate immediate
communication ability in English, and progressively develops skills for reading
selections in Level 1. It integrates reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Class Management - Teachers can create their class rosters online and maintain
accurate student data for registered students, new students, and students who have
left the program. All school and student information is confidential, and databases
are protected with the use of advanced security systems.

Student Assessment - The Student Assessment module offers teachers the capability
of producing class and individual progress reports. District administrators can
run district and school reports. Reports summarize students’ activities while using
the site. Student progress is measured in terms of Lexile® and grade level gains.
